Happiness Blog!

Happiness is not a word with a simple, one line definition. It is when your wants come closer to the actual happenings of your life, making both sides equal. When this equilibrium takes place, is when happiness arrives.

Happiness is a personal feeling, so there is no precise definition for it since it is experienced differently. As well, different experiences make different people happy. Some people are happy through piece of mind, those with a high musical intelligence could become happy from a song, a large group of friends is necessary for some people to be happy, etc.

Happiness is possible in everything. In my opinion, it is a relative term, seeing as some of the poorest people in the world with barely enough food to survive are more happy than some of the most "well off" in society's eyes. Some view happiness as a long term emotion which stretches across years of your life, while others believe happiness can come in small spurts and then quickly disappear.

Though, when people believe happiness comes in small spurts, they often have happiness confused with pleasure. Pleasure occurs due to an external stimuli, such as tasty food, sex, winning a car, etc. But happiness comes from your internal world and can still exist while experiencing something unpleasurable.

Perfect happiness is a term which some view as impossible to achieve. In my opinion, happiness is always perfect, just because negative things will always exist in our lives does not mean that we can never be completely happy. We need negative stimuli to make us happy for the positive. Really though, your definition of happiness should be the most important one to you, since you are the only one who knows what your happiness feels like.
