Fukuoka, Japan just took the city construction game to a whole new level. When a massive sinkhole opened up in the middle of a highly populated area, it interrupted transit outside of a busy railway station. The city workers started almost immediately getting power, gas and water lines restored before filling the massive 6,200 cubic meter hole with sand, cement and pavement. The mayor Soichiro Takashima says there were luckily no injuries and the spot of the incident is now 30% stronger.
