Just Another Blog Without Credibility.

Due to my lack of documenting every moment of my life and cross referencing statements made by persons I have known, this blog is yet another example of what I have experienced, but unfortunately, it is  without credibility and therefore will be ignored, and dismissed as fuddle duddle.

This story has been resurrected due to current events.  Those current events revolve around criminal charges being laid upon those who record public officials performing their duties. In the State of Illinois a man by the name of  Michael Allison is facing seventy five years in prison for recording police officers on his own private property and  in a public building. Don't get me wrong, I know there is more to this then meets the eye. There usually is a good reason for these unusual events.

In Ottawa, some passengers have recorded bus drivers talking on cell phones, texting and even filling out forms while driving and in transit. The response from the Union for these illegal activities has been, "The drivers are entitled to their privacy and therefore such evidence is not applicable". In fact, the Union is looking into ways to charge people who use recording devices while in transit or on OC Transpo property.

My brother in law worked in baggage for Air Canada. I'll call him Glitch. He received a promotion to management. Two unidentified burly men came into his office and offered him a deal he couldn't refuse.  Place such and such a container in this spot and tag it with this sticker when you get the cue.

At first, Glitch refused and strange, dangerous things happened to him. While getting into his car, a gun shot blew out his headlight. On another occasion, his frantic daughter called him and retold an unusual encounter with some scary men at her front door who just wanted to say, "Hello".

Glitch called the police and well, they couldn't do a thing without solid evidence. Glitch suggested video cameras outside and inside his office to record the events. No,... Union rules state no cameras are allowed within the baggage handling areas, including management and administrative areas. So Glitch had no choice but to perform what ever instructions were given to him.

This did not come without reward however, the last I heard he was receiving ten thousand dollars a month, "Doing what he is told". In the end he knew he couldn't fight the Union, who he described as  The Hells Angels, so he just played his part.   I can't blame him really, the law couldn't help him and due to Union powers he was vulnerable.

Today I helped my son move into residence and on every floor and in every public area there are cameras. In every shopping mall, in every public area the average citizen is being recorded, not for historical significance but for use of evidence in case of a crime. Yet, our public officials and those people who are placed in jobs of public trust are exempt from scrutiny due to their right to privacy?

Seems as though there is a class system emerging between different segments of the population based upon a new type of tribalism. The Middle East serves as an example as to what happens when society breaks into different select groups dominating certain aspects of society, law, culture and more recently public and private citizen.
