Message to Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry

Both Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry have risen their way to political fame by claiming to be Christians.  What people don't seem to notice is their policies go against biblical teachings and the words and actions of Jesus himself.

Michele Bachmann made the following statement regarding hurricane Irene:

"I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?' Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we've got to rein in the spending."

Rick Perry held a prayer meeting to end the drought in Texas.  It was unsuccessful in bringing rain even though there was rain in the forecast.  He, too, has been supporting policies and taking actions that go against the words and actions of Jesus.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt that they actually do believe in Jesus and place value in his teachings, I wrote this letter.

Proverbs 22:16 New International Version (NIV) One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the richboth come to poverty.

Proverbs 22:16

King James Version (KJV)

16He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

If God is behind the earthquakes and hurricanes, it's because of those of you in government who are doing everything they can to oppress the poor and give gifts to the rich.  If you're going to claim Christianity, you might want to make yourself familiar with a certain figure called Jesus and take a look at his words and actions and see how much your actions compare to His.  He fed the multitudes, he healed the sick, he befriended prostitutes, bartenders (publicans), and tax collectors.  If you took the time to read the bible, you might find these things out for yourself.

You're in a position to help people as Christ did on a large scale yet you're supporting policies that go against Christ... Antichrist.  Remember, in the last days there will be people claiming to be Jews who aren't Jews (inwardly).  Don't support those who go against Christ and His actions.  Please consider your words and actions henceforth.
