yet many people put there profile as private.

I don't understand why, what are they saying?

If I have a myspace profile, I am there to socialize it's not like there are too many other

reasons to to have one, why do I hide myself?

Are people afraid of other people, or is a statement saying I don't really don't want to meet

you unless I know you or meet my standards?
