In spare time, flash games can be a great experience. Some of these artists do marvelous work, and I dare say a few go beyond iPhone apps, and look as though you've opened a long-forgotten console title on emulator. Given a lot more length, a lot of them could be something I'd definitely pay for and enjoy on consoles.

For now, there are just too many great ones out there that don't make the rounds they deserve. So, this time around, in addition to highlighting a couple of classics and a new release, they're short enough that I've uploaded them to the Games category, and are doing extremely well.



1.  Sniper For Hire: Trollday



One I figured all Ebaumers would enjoy. SFH:T is a cool shooting game in which your mission is to pop all the Trollface men. Simple and fun, although the best part imo is how they re-drew all the troll faces for the death shots.

2.  Toybox



An escape-the-room game with an immensely creepy vibe. A young girl was taken by someone, and awakens in a dark room with chains. Solve the puzzles and brave the scary environment to discover the outcome. An excellent game.

3.  Darkness: Episode 2



An anime-esque escape-the-room with a lot more substance. Divided into a trilogy, this one has been a fave of mine for years due to its similarities to the console series Clock Tower. That is, you're an unarmed girl pursued by a malevolent force, who must rely on stealth and puzzle-solving skills to escape each scenario. High creep factor and wonderfully made.
