Poetry

I tried to write a poem a couple of days ago but I ended up deleting it. I can be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes but it really sucked. It was really hard for me to write it. It's like I've become too hardened to think of similes and pull out emotion and whatnot. It kind of sucks that I've developed such a thick skin but I guess that's just how my character has developed. However, I have found some old stuff from years ago. My stuff tends to be easy to read. But don't feel obligated. I know reading poetry can be a drag sometimes.

Does anybody remember that story I wrote for Halloween a while back called The Master? I thought that was pretty good. I'll repost some other time under this SN.

This one was from back when I considered myself a Christian.

Redemption

Twas a demon in my soul

But You have given love

That I may cast the demon away

And, by grace, rise above

Youve given me new life

The battle, we have won

Ive years upon my head

But my life has just begun

Oh, the tear that wells

With thoughts of joy and grace

Youve cast light upon my shadows

My sins you have erased
