Jesus was an emo. He was so sensitive, that he didn't leave anyone without help. He was sometimes angry, and sometimes sad. Before he was killed, he felt pain, more pain than we can ever imagine. People killed him for being better than them. Jesus was not a poser, neither he was a hater. He was just himself. He was unique. First christians were persecuted. Today, 170000 christians become dead every year for religious reasons. So yes, christian faith has much more to do with emo than any ideology.
