Every year, when the leave start to fall down, I go through the neighborhood and ask people if i could rake their yards for their leaves.  Thats it, just the leaves, no payment, I just want the leaves for organic fertilizing on my pepper plants. I normally hit up about 20 houses in a good day, before I hit a road bump with someone. Would you believe, people actually want to rake their own yards, and not give up their leaves?

I asked one guy if i could rake his yard for his leaves, he simply replied back that it was his yard and his leaves. That's far enough with me, no problem, so i then ask if he's going to pile them at the end of the yard for city pickup or bag them. This offends the guy, sends him into spartan 300 mode, these leaves are his babies and he'll do as he pleases with them. Now at this point, he's grabbing his rake and comming after me, where i say fuck it, im outa here!

Douche has a complete hard on about raking his own yard. Thats fine, but when he's still chasing me half the block down and im letting my truck just idle roll. So later that day, I pass through my neighborhood again, seen he has his leaves bagged up. Sweet, now ill dont have to rake into a pile and dump em in the back of the truck, ill just put the bags in the back. Normally, I will return the bags back to the person's house, since I dont need the bag, if im just mulching the leaves in the begin with. Oh hell no, here comes rake boy, out at it again, trying to get after me with the rake. So I leave again, and just called it quit for the night and dump the load of leaves in the back yard until morning time.

Morning time comes, city is doing the leaves pickup, they cant do anything with waste in bags until another day, I watch as they go by rake boy's house, he's out there screaming at them, bitching beacause they cant take his leaves. so I leave to pick up more local leaves in the neighborhood that is already bagged, driving by rake boy's house, where he's got the city boys back up bitching them out. They notice the bags of leaves in my truck, flagged me down, and asked if I wanted more leaves. SURE! They grabbed all his bags and put them in the back of the truck and I drove off watching rake boy swinging his rake in the air at them.

This year, Ive noticed he has no more trees in his yard....lol
