By the way, if anyone wonders why I have been on so sparsely the last few months I'll have to let you know it's because of multiple deaths and illnesses in the family. Some standard, some deserved, some truly tragic.

But what happened yesterday was truly fucked up. My Uncle-in-law was out driving with my wife's cousin, just doing the standard Christmas shopping and such, when they were broadsided by another driver. Both were uninjured, but the brand new car was totalled.

They got out of the car to exchange insurance information with the other driver and he pulled out a gun. Since this had happened downtown, the crowd that was around feared the worst when he fired a shot up into the air. He then put the gun in his mouth and killed himself in front of everyone.

I wish I had something better to say after writing that, but I really don't. I wasn't even there and I'm a complete wreck over it.
