This 'n' That

DailyPlanet.png
Well, today has been an interesting day.  This morning someone called from the jail and said that Sharon wanted me to put some money on the phone so she could call me, saying that it was an emergency.  She gave me her pin number for her debit card, so I tried, but the charge was rejected.  I went down to check her balance and she had 18 cents.  Sorry.  I can't help.

Kevin called last night and tried to tell me that he had just lent the lawnmower to his mom, but his mom told me how much she paid for the lawnmower and told me don't let him have it.  His story was that he wanted to sell it for $20 to get gas to visit his mom.  I already know what he keeps wanting $20 for.  I'm not THAT stupid.

Generally, when I open the door to go outside and take a few puffs off of my cigar, the cats go running at the door.  Today they just sat there, so I said, "Do you want to go outside?"  They looked at me like I was retarded.  No damn way they wanted to go out in this heat!

A few minutes later, a drunk neighbor wanted to come in.  All he speaks is Spanish and I had no idea what he was trying to say to me, but I finally figured out that he had gotten locked out of the house when he went to get some beer and wanted to come in to get out of the heat.  My neighbor where he stays had gone somewhere and had locked the doors.

I let him in because it was blistering hot outside and tried to communicate with him some using Google Translate's feature that pronounces the phrases.  I finally got that it was my neighbor because of her name, but I still have no idea what else he said.

After he barfed on my floor, I typed in for it to tell him where the bathroom and I pointed the direction.  When he came back from the bathroom, he laid on the floor, so I typed in for it to tell him he could sit in the recliner.  He did and fell asleep.  A couple hours later when he woke up, he left and thanked me.

I went out and looked at the garden and it's coming along nicely.  There are green figs on the fig tree and the snap beans and lima beans have started sprouting and developing.  There's a small bell pepper or two formed already.  I haven't checked the peach and plumb tree, but I didn't see any blooms this year, so they're probably not going to produce until next year, should next year come.  The squash still has blooms on it and the cantaloupes are just starting to grow.  The corn is about a foot high now.

One of the kittens pulled a Crypto and pooped a little on my comforter.  Crypto did fine when he was in earlier, thank God.  Once I get the vomit scrubbed out of the carpet and the poop scrubbed off of my comforter, I think I'm going to take a little nap.

I'm feeling better than I was yesterday, but I'm still not up to par.  Hopefully I'll be fine by tomorrow.

Everybody stay safe from the earthquakes, tornadoes, and whatever other natural disasters come our way.  This looks like an active year.

Love, Hope, Peace, & Christ Is With Us All,

Cal-el
