We've all seen this graphic floating around with a supposed quote from Donald Trump from a People Magazine interview from 1998.

We've probably seen some of our more liberal friends sharing this, deeply hoping that they're going to rub in their conservative friend's faces that Trump is the asshole and hypocrite that they claim. Unfortunately for them it's a fake. Fortunately for you, you know better than that.

In fact, according to People Magazine's archives, not only is there no record of him saying that, they didn't even publish an interview from him in 1998.

This quote, for some, seemed even more plausible since it's widely known that Trump was a registered Democrat until 2009, it's also known that he switched political affiliations at least 5 times since the late 1980s. 

The bottom line is that this quote is absolute bullshit and we should all be careful what we share on the internet.
