Unemployment

Les Claypool said "Funny things  about weekends when you're unemployed, they don't mean quite so much, except you get to hang out with your workin' friends".

There's a strange feeling you get when you've applied to all the jobs you can find in your field and have no response. If the economy wasn't so shit right now (as of now it's a whopping 8,024) I'd be worried about the quality of my work, or of my deodorant at interviews. Then there's another great feeling when you start looking "outside" the field. A feeling of, I don't know, descent? Like lowering myself to someone else's standards - and then I think, wow, what an asshole thought to have - where did this elitist mentality takeover your brain? Usually at that point I have to start paying attention to the road again.

There has to be janitors, maybe this is how they are made. Can't find a job, get any job you can find, do it really well b/c it's dirt simple, and just get used to it. Then time goes by and you haven't advanced your chosen "career" at all and it'd be useless to start now and college was a waste - sweet, took that long to find that out. Maybe all those people back home that call you "Prick" and "Ungrateful weasel" were right all along - by leaving your home and moving away to college and having fun is always the dumbest thing to do. Fun is bad. Indeed.

That's how easy it is to just let the mind wander when unemployed. I still haven't showered.
