As most of us already know, the US economy has taken an unfortunate turn for the worse. With many people losing jobs (whether its being layed off or fired) we are in dire need of a constant income flow. Myself being an american who is forced to work 3 jobs just to make ends meet, is just one of the many horror stories found within out country. For example, just the other day i ran into a customer at a "CA$H FOR GOLD ". For those of you who dont know what the store "Cash for gold" is, it is a scrap gold/metal store where people can bring in their old, broken, mixed matched jewelery to sell for a very high generous price. This customer was extremely distraught over her financial situation. She was currently taking care of 3 children, and 4 immediate adult family members. She only had one car for a mode of transportation to drive everyone to and from work, school and other necessary places. On top of that she was laid off work, and had already sold most of her poccessions at the local pawn shops and online at craigs list and ebay etc. I felt horrible for feeling my situation was "bad". Comparred to this women my life was heaven. and it made me really think about all the things that we take for granted in this world.I live at home still, (no rent) i drive my parents car (no car payments, except monthly insurance), i work 3 jobs at $17.00 and hour each, i live in a nice suburban neighborhood, and i have a roof over my head with food on the table daily. I have taken my situation of being broke for like 2 to 3 weeks as a life ending thing. But you know what...IT ISNT! yea i may have to sell somethings to get gas money..but there are people out there who dont even have a fucking car to drive! i Feel that most of us American's really dont comprehend all the things we DO have...we only concentrate on the things we DONT have. Be happy what you do have..and always strive for the things you dont. Dont let life get you down. Always aim for the moon, even if you dont reach it, you'll always end up amoung the stars.
