was whatching top gear last night (great show) and when it got to the little news thing that they do, it mentioned that those crappy high-tech road signs with there own solar panel cost £10,000 of taxpayers money. and also by law, a conventional sign needs to be put next to it that says the excact same thing, just in case the electronic sign runs out of power.
