I'll keep this brief, because I think that I am not a scholar of scripture nor do I have any idea what jesus actually said or meant (and yes i know his name was joshua/jeshua and whatever is written about him was just what paul thought he said so don't point it out), but I find that even fundamentalist's like to close thier ears when a passage reveals the more anarchist side of christ. I think the following passage is a small example of how jesus did not advocate civilization or agriculture.

Bear in mind that I'm taking this from the translation I have at hand. having checked a few diferent ones I know the exact wording will vary.

The passage from the book of Matthew is as follows:

6:25  Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for tomorrow, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
6:26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not as good as they?

Most christians like to ignore this as nonsense and that christ was just waxing pretty speeches. To me howver, taking no thought for tomarrow, what you shall eat is an argument against agriculture. Jesus is saying to his disciples trust god to provide you food and do not concern yourself with tomarrow's food. Planting seeds and tending cattle would presume that you do not trust god to provide you tomarrow's food. As proof of this he asks them to look to the fowls and how they do not sow nor reap, or gather into settlements, yet god feeds them. This is just my opinion of what this means of course, I could be wrong. Just felt like sharing this. goodnight everyone
