Side by Side
Here's something that I've noticed lately.
When cars pull up beside each other at a red light, it never seems to be side by side. They stop a little farther back or pull up a little farther forward. It's so you can't look over at them or maybe they feel a little more secure knowing that they aren't next to anyone.
Why is this? Have we, as a society, become so socially introverted that we don't want to look at who is in the car beside us? I blame black people. God knows I've pulled up next to a car with fucking rap music blaring and the people inside yelling and cussing and trying to make a scene. I learned not to pull up beside them.
So are black people to blame for this side-by-side paranoia? No, of course not, but I'm just curious if anyone else has ever noticed it.
