Obama hates FoxNews

That's right.  The White House is slamming FoxNews.  In an AP report on MSNBC website, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33376836/ns/politics-white_house/ the White House appears to be playing by the elementary school recess rules.  All text in italics is taken directly from the article.

On Sunday, Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama's chief of staff, said, "It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective."  So, I guess that Emanuel didn't watch CNN or MSNBC when President G. W. Bush was in office.  He also didn't watch them when Clinton was in office.  Both networks lean to the left.

Several critics questioned the wisdom of the move while one of President Barack Obama's top adviser pledged Sunday that administration officials would still appear on the top-rated cable news network.  Now here the administration says something to the effect of, "I hate you but will still hang out with you."

Obama avoided "Fox News Sunday" when he visited five Sunday morning news shows last month; three aides carried the administration's message on Afghanistan, health care and the economy this Sunday to ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC, but not Fox.  Right here shows the White House contradicts itself.  It also shows that the Administration avoids people that take a critical look at them.  Why talk to a reporter that will ask tough questions when you can talk to one that will kiss  your ass?

Karl Rove, a Fox News contributor and former White House adviser to President George W. Bush, said the Obama administration is trying to demonize Fox News for asking questions officials do not like. He compared Obama's approach to that of President Richard Nixon, who included journalists on an "enemies list."  Everyone admits that Nixon was not t he best president to hold office.  He was paranoid as all hell.  He also was a Republican.  If FoxNews was indeed the mindless sheep that the administration claims it is, they would not have critized a former Republican president.  "This is a White House engaging in its own version of the media enemies list," Rove said. "And it's unhelpful for the country and undignified for the president of the United States to so do."  It did not help the country when Nixon made tapes of all of his conversations.  Nor did it help when he made his enemy list.  Obama needs to realize this and humble himself to engage all news networks.

Appearing on ABC television's "This Week," senior Obama adviser David Axelrod said Fox News shouldn't be treated as a news organization. "And the bigger thing is that other news organizations, like yours, ought not to treat them that way, and we're not going to treat them that way," he said.  The administration is not going to treat Fox as a news organization, but they will still appear on the network?  Sounds like they flip-flop on things.

The current administration is not effective.  They know it.  They avoid reporters that are critical on them.  They prance around and say "look at all of the good things we have done."  What has the administration done?  Iraq troop numbers have been reduced by President Bush.  The Big-O is waiting to decide on Afghanistan troop number increses.  He also made a personal apearance with the Olympic commitie to campaign for the United States to host the Olympics.  There are many other people that could have gone instead of the president.  He is wasting his time when he should be facing tough issues.  His first year is almost over.  What exactly has the Big-O done?
