Louisiana sky

I look to see the thick gray clouds Have come down from the sky. It is so typical of many a day Ive seen go drifting by. The clouds so unpredictable, we cant know what theyll be. But must arise another day, Ourselves for us to see.
A sunny song plays on air, That reminds me of better days. When life and love and happiness,Were not seen though such a haze. I close my eyes and feel the sun, and watch the Cypress Trees bend, and take reward in knowing that This thought a bad one cannot mend.

For this sky and I will go now forth, Amidst our serried daze,Remembering the thick and gray,As we enter yet another maze.

For if some day I feel too happy, I can always look behind, and remember that thick gray sky                                                                                                                   Forever in my mind.
