The thing that annoys me the most, more than ebonics is the placement of thedollar sign.

For example, $1.00 the right way.

1.00$ the wrong way.

This annoys me because kids have gone to school and are taught the right way but they still use it the wron way. It is like comparing dollars to cents. The cents sign comes after the number not before. In my school I went to a football tailgate party and the student council was selling food and they put the dollar sign AFTER the number. I thought thestudent council was supposed to be smart but I guess not. I know everyone makes mistakes but this one has gone too far. So learn it right or go back to where you came from!
