Jamaica and Other Places

Well, I was going to show you some pictures of Jamaica since I still have some that weren't damaged in the flood, but I'm having trouble locating them.  If I can find them, I'll do a blog using some of them tomorrow if I can remember to do so.

I wish I still had my pictures of the Yucatan.  I was able to talk to one of the archaeologists who was working on Tulum.  It was much more interesting before they turned it more into a tourist park.  The water in the Cancun area is much prettier than the water in Jamaica because of the natural limestone sand.  The flood water totally ruined all of those, I think.  I even had one picture I wasn't supposed to take.

I had some great pictures of San Francisco, too.  That was almost like a foreign country to a Texan.  haha  I really enjoyed the museums of science there.  I suppose they appealed to my Aquarian side.  The landscape was beautiful and I'd never experienced fog that heavy before.  It was interesting to see it rolling over the hill into Golden Gate Park.  I didn't realize fog could be so cold.  I think my favorite picture from San Francisco was a picture of the Merlin carving that was in a bar.

Just about anywhere I traveled, there were interesting things to see.  Some were lovely, some not so lovely.  Seeing the way people lived in Dry Branch, WV was nearly as bad as seeing the way many had to live in Jamaica.

Speaking of Jamaica, one of the curious things is that people had to drive a car the color of their political party.  Evidently, driving the wrong color car in the wrong place can get you killed.  Don't mind me. I'm just sifting through some of the mental notes I took.
