Love Deceased
Love Deceased
Song lyrics:
Bittersweet memories of love that's gone by
Sometimes brings a tear to my eye
I no longer even have the strength to cry
Bittersweet memories of love that's gone by
Passion was heavy and tenderness sweet
When she was with me my life felt complete
But cancer was something I couldn't defeat
Though passion was heavy and tenderness sweet
As cancer took over the bitterness grew
For I knew there was nothing that I could do
All the doctors lies I could quickly see through
And I knew there was nothing that I could do
My love I could see quickly wasting away
The pain and the agony with me does stay
Six months down the road it was her dying day
My love I could see quickly wasting away
She asked me to cremate her, so it was done
But that wasn't good enough for everyone
Her family buried the urn and did shun
The very last wishes of my sweet loved one
Some of the ashes I still do keep
Given begrudgingly though I did weep
Though I once did sprinkle them down in a creek
Some of the ashes I still do keep
The memory of her will not fade away
I'll carry her with me 'til my dying day
I care not what others may have to say
The memory of her will not fade away
