Texas Drought Affects the Guadalupe River

I got to thinking about the Guadalupe River where I used to go tubing and canoeing because of the heat.  The underground springs kept the water about 40F/4.4C... cool enough to keep beer cans or coke cans cold if you put them in the water and dragged them behind you.  It dawned on me that a trip there might not be quite what it was considering the length of this drought.

I did a Google search and eventually found some current pictures.  The picture from the link is where you had to either get out and move your canoe across the bridge to the other side if you wanted to continue.  Usually by the time we reached this point, we just had someone pick us up.  The water, when I canoed, was right at the bottom of the top portion of the bridge.  I was shocked to see this photo.
