Canadian Navy Takes Control of Southern Seas.

Yes, the Canadian Navy is taking control of the waters surrounding Australia, Hong Kong, the South China seas and beyond. Not with guns a blazing, but with some sweet  soulful music.

The HMCS Ottawa's band, Good Night Vegas, has already captured Pago Pago, American Samoa, Sydney and Darwin Australia. This summer they have set their sights set on Japan, and Korea. There is the possibility they will finish off their command of the high seas in Hawaii.

Tickets are selling fast with many venues sold out.

I wrote a blog a while ago about my nephew who is in the navy joining a band aboard the HMCS Ottawa. Well it's full speed ahead as they book sold out performances all across the South Pacific.

I found some low quality videos of their performance, but it's fun for the family and I as we watch little Eric and his band of pirates raid the southern hemisphere.

Here's a link to the story from National Defense with interviews:  http://www.navy.gc.ca/ottawa/2/2-s_eng.asp?category=262&title=4707

And the video, give it a watch. Eric will get a kick out of seeing the views go up!
Eric's the guy singing.

After the World all goes to hell, he'll ply his trade aboard a pirate ship!
