I could only find one posting from OCSB for a library tecnician, but generally they earn half of what a Librarian earns. Keep in mind this job is a half time position and look at that salary. It is pro rated but if you double it and add full time, you exceed 80K at a starting position as a full fledged librarian.

LIBRARY TECHNICIAN (0.5)
Description: Under the general direction of the Principal, the Library Technician operates the school library and information services to meet the needs of staff and students; promotes authors, books and special events; performs administrative functions associated with the library and/or school; coordinates volunteers activities; and performs other duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Secondary school diploma, a 2-year Community College diploma i.e. Library Technician, 2 years of related experience, expertise with LibrarySoft, computer hardware and software, CD-ROMs, various AV equipment and excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Individuals possessing an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. The use of a personal vehicle may be required.
