National Health Care

It seems that many people seem to think that we need a National Health Care.  Why stop there?  Why not have a National Housing system, National Food Program, etc.  OOOO we already have that!  Ok, well let's take this from a diferent angle.

I was stationed in Japan in 1991.  When we got there, we were told if we ever got sick or injured in town to crawl back to base if possible.  In Japan, you see, they have National Health Care.  It is so broke that they use the same needles over and over again.  They cannot afford nurses, so any nursing needed is to be provided by the family.  Linen, bed pans, etc have to be provided by the family as well.  They don't even train their own Doctors; they can't afford to.  They sent them to the US and Switzerland.  Now they no longer send them to the US.

In 1992 I returned from Japan.  I turned on the TV to listen to this IDIOTIC Presidential Candidate speaking.  He said he would not be happy until America was paying at least $5.00 per gallon for gas.  Then he started talking about re-vamping our Health Care system.   "Let's make it like Japan's.... after all, it works for them!"  The crowd gave him a standing ovation.  I could NOT beleive it.  They were applauding they knew not what.

1994 proved to be a fateful year as we elected that clown to Office.  He did his best to destroy America.  In 2000, Bush took office and in a few short months, several major Hospitals went under.  People all over were blaming Bush.  You don't bankrupt a multi-billion dollar operation in a few months.  That came from Clinton's tweaking of the National Health Care.

Now we want to do the same thing, but on a grander scale.  Think people.  We already have a National Health care:  Tricare is used for the Military.  It is so bankrupt that anything major has to be done out in town, unless you are near a major Military Hospital, of which there are very few.  WHen you go out in town, the Military only pays part of the expenses (this is the part that Rachel Madcow REFUESES to acknowledge) and the system is so defunct that they had to FARM IT OUT TO CIVILIAN companies to run.  The Government can NOT afford to run it.

We also have Medicare.  Medicare is not perfect.  It's something, and its better than this National Health Care, but it's not perfect.  Seniors are running out of medications before the end of the year every year.  Funding is pitful.  If long term needs are there, the family (everyone in it) must sign over any and all real property to the Government.  The family is still responsible for any unpaid leins or mortgages on said property, even though the Governement owns it now.

So, if the Government cannot afford to run Tricare for a few hundred thousand ACTIVE DUTY personnel, or Medicare for a few hundred thousand Seniors,  just WHAT makes us think that the Government will be able to take care of the street urchin that lives in the ghettos?  The underfunding of Tricare and Medicare, when extended to the masses will be compounded EXPONTENTIALLY.

People like Rachel Madcow would have you to beleive (She actually said this on TV) that if you serve even one day in the Military that you have absolutely free health care for the rest of your life.  This could not be further from the truth.  I'm 30 % disabled AND retired, and I still have to pay for my health care.  Nothing in life is free.  And when this Idiot said afordable health care, EVERYONE heard "free".  People, you need to ask yourselves just how affordable "affordable" is.  Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.
