I'm happy!!!!

So, today, I'm working on weeding my vegetable (and fruit- melons, and such) garden. I've been really procrastinating on it, and it's finally getting done. I also have to thin out some of the pumpkin and cantelope plants because they're just vining out EVERYWHERE!!

But, I go out there today to start my weeding, and SURPRISE!!! I've actually got some of the plants bearing fruits!!!! Yeah, I was shocked because I'd just been making sure it was watered and not really looking at what was going on because the weeding was just overwhelming.

I have something like 9 tomatoes getting bigger- none ripe yet or even very close, but they're there. There's also a small spaghetti squash, at least five watermelons (though one is trying to strangle one of my okra plants), a few cucumbers, some green beans, and there have been two zucchinis that were fully matured, but one rotted during the thunderstorms we had for three days in a row this past week. The other is friggin' HUGE!!!

I think I'm gonna saute that zucchini tonight in some butter and garlic as a side. It feels so good to not have to spend money on this deliciousness that is finally coming forth from my garden!

Okay, well, I need to go get more sunblock on (I'm a bit pink at the moment), hydrate a bit more, then get back to work.

ETA:  I'd like to make a correction.  There are at least 17 watermelons.
