Parts of a Car Alarm System

A basic car alarm system consists of the following parts:

1.       Sensors

2.       Siren

In some high-end designs there are some other parts like auxiliary battery when the car's main battery is not functioning and the second is the radio receiver that facilitates the wireless control, this auxiliary battery helps the alarm system operating. The 3rd is the computer control unit which monitors everything that is happening around and if anything unwanted it blows the siren off.

There are several types of sensors associated with the car alarm for example the door sensor which is placed in the door. If the hood in the front or any of the doors is opened, the computer control system will activate the alarm immediately. Today, generally the light inside the modern cars is automatically switched on if the door is not well closed; all these sensors work in a similar manner.

Types of Sensors

The 2nd type of car alarm system works with the assistance of shock sensor in which if there is any movement with the car then the siren can be heard. The 2rd type is the window sensor wherein the alarm is activated when the windows are broken. Pressure sensor will be triggered if the pressure inside the car shifts, which can occur as a result of any of the above-mentioned things like if, the door is opened or the windows are broken the air pressure in the car has to change thus sounding the alarm bell. Also there is something called Tilt sensor, which triggers the brain of the car alarm system when it is tilted to a particular angle since there are some smart thieves who want to tow the car away.

Use of Car Alarm System

There have been countless cases when the alarm system being there though, the vehicle still has been stolen because sometimes it fails to understand what exactly a car theft is. Experts are of the opinion that thefts occur even though the alarm system being there because nobody bothers much about it. Car owners do not pay much attention because alarm systems trigger in to a siren even when it has a strong wind or a pet trying to interfere with the car.
