A wise old turlte comes up to the edge of the road, looks up one way then down the other and starts across. Well, he makes it about half way across and looks up to see a duck and a duckling. The momma duck runs out in the road and gets hit by a truck. The wise old turtle is still making his way across. He makes it a little bit further and looks up again and sees a skunk and a baby skunk. Momma skunk runs out into the road and gets hit by a car. The wise old turtle finally makes it all the way across and finds the duckling crying his eyes out. Wise old turtle says "watcha cryin' fer?" "My momma died and didn't tell me what I was". "Let's see if we can figure this out. You're yellow, you got feathers, and you got web feet. You must be a duck". "Thank you Mr. turtle". Mr. Turtle makes it a little further down and finds the baby skunk just cring his eyes out. "And what are you cryin' fer?" " My momma died and didn't tell me what I was."
