Imagine taking an evening walk along the beach and stumbling upon something huge and awesome that washed ashore: a rocket.

The piece of metal was from a Ariane 5 rocket.

Specifically, its the payload shroud from the rocket.

Its discarded at about 150km altitude.
5.
That means its discarded 50km into space.

Its officially space debris.

This hunk of junk traveled so many miles.

Its a once in a lifetime find.

This was heat resistant paneling that was broken and burned.
