These pictures were taken when a baby fawn had taken to a horse as if it was the mother. We assume that the deer mom had died and the baby was looking for anything to replace her. Though I think the horse's reception of the fawn is truly a testament to how animals differ from humans. Whether its a duck and a puppy, a horse and a fawn, a lion and a cheetah cub. Animals have a natural tendency to protect, that humans seem to lack in spades.
