They've made a house they use to fulfill their dream of travel and named their project "Tiny House Giant Journey".

The couple decided two years ago to quit their jobs, build a little house, and live on the open road. -

Mister Dutilh comments their decision: I was like, 'What if we could quit our jobs and live a life of travel journalism in a house we built ourselves?' So that’s what we did" -

With the help of their friends, they built their own portable home from scratch over the course of a year. -

The couple had first heard about the "tiny house" phenomenon online. It was begun in part by the housing company Tumbleweed which specializes in the small portable homes. -

And it is gorgeous. -

The couple moved out of their full-sized home, left their jobs, and set out for the open road six months ago. -

Since then they've traveled the United States and Canada. -

In the past six months we’ve traveled over 11,000 miles -

The twosome may have left their traditional jobs, but they work hard to support themselves through their writing and photography. -

It’s so much fun, but it’s also a lot of work. We’re continously generating new material for our blog. We want to share as much as we possibly can. -

It’s truly amazing what we get to see. The experiences we have are like nothing we could have had before in our jobs"
