Disney World in the '80s, when you could literally just show up

No planning, no reservations, just simple fun. You got two parks- Magic Kingdom and in '82 (YAY another) Epcot. Sit back and revisit the yesteryears of Disney w/ 43 pics- complete with mouse ears & latex mickey balloons that were flat on your hotel floor the next morn

Because if you lost this, you were fucked.

Ticket prices.... in the "old" days of the 70s and before, you had to buy tickets for rides (my parents have rolls of these things)

Main street looks the same except for the rockin' 80s clothes :D

The skyway ride was SO much fun, not sure why they pulled this one.

I always worried we wouldn't fit XD

The strollers were a little rough- smelly vinyl but they got you from one ride to the next... and of course you couldn't be in Disney without the ears.... it was breaking a code or something

The balloon that you HAD to have but went flat by the next morning :(

The people mover. Too bad this didn't catch on at the mall like they predicted (it would take us "everywhere") - maybe people would actually MOVE rather than stop in front of you and text

The morning ride in if you wanted to miss the crazy crowds of the monorail

All of the Disney characters wore the rainbow space suits in epcot for the first few years

and you had to sing the twilight theme

The hotel to stay at (first one on property). You could watch the monorail from your balcony and bug your parents that it was time to go because the monorail was awake.

And of course, MICKEY BARS. No trip was complete without a Dole Whip and a Mickey Bar (and oh the excitement when you started seeing them in your grocer's freezer).
