1.
Terminator: At one point during Reese's explanation, Sarah begins to say "Ky..." and then stops herself. Linda Hamilton forgot that Sarah doesn't know Reese's first name yet. -
2.
Terminator 2: When the T-1000 accesses the police computer at the beginning of the movie, we see that John Connor was born February 28, 1985 and is currently 10 years old. This would mean the film takes place in 1995. Later however, when the T-800 describes the events leading up to Judgment Day, he says Cyberdyne becomes the largest supplier of military computers in three years. That would be 1998, despite the date of Judgment Day given as August 29, 1997 in the same scene. -
3.
Die Hard: When the terrorists are first walking in as a group looking very serious and sinister, the one on the far left is on a collision course with the wall... The camera cuts away just before he walks into it. -
4.
Aliens: When Vasquez shoots the alien which causes Drake's death, the exact shot of the alien exploding and spraying its acid blood everywhere is used again when the second pair of remote sentry guns are firing away. In fact, it's used twice in this scene. -
5.
Back To The Future: Ridiculing Marty's jacket, one of Biff's friends in 1955 refers to Marty as "this dork." The word "dork" as a name for a stupid person first appeared in 1967. -
6.
Commando: When Matrix escapes from the aircraft during take-off, he leaves doors open and breaks down sealed curtains. This would set off alarms in the cockpit and leave the aircraft unpressurized in flight; and therefore unable to complete an 11hr flight. -
7.
Rambo First Blood: When the police are spraying Rambo's back with the fire hose, if you look closely you can see pieces of his "scars" coming off. -
8.
Lethal Weapon: Just before Amanda Hunsaker hits the car, careful viewers can see that she actually falls on a big inflated bed with the car's picture on it. -
9.
Tango & Cash: Both Tango and Cash refer to a friend of Cash as both Matt and Max. Tango could get it wrong but Cash should know his friend's name. -
10.
Robocop: Takes place in Detroit, but various points in the chase at the beginning show a section of the Dallas skyline. -
11.
The Thing: An essential plot point depends on a Norwegian scientist's inability to speak English. Every educated Norwegian speaks fluent English. -
12.
Pulp Fiction: When Butch is across the street from his apartment, the building is two-stories tall. Once Butch is inside the courtyard, the building is three-stories tall. -
13.
Top Gun: The center of the story at the pilot training school is a series of competitions that lead to the awarding of the "Top Gun" trophy. The real flight school has never had that trophy or anything like it, as the training is designed to encourage cooperation amongst the pilots. -
14.
Stargate: During Dr. Daniel Jackson's first discussion of the age of the cover stones, Dr. Barbara Shore mentions carbon dating. Carbon dating technique would be useless on stone or metal; it can give the age only of once-living matter. -
15.
Predator: When Dutch is being pursued by the predator, he hides from its infra-red vision using mud. While freshly and thickly applied mud would help minimise his heat signature, it would not take the body long to warm the mud to a higher temperature than the surrounding vegetation; especially the thin and inconsistent layer we see Dutch covered with. He certainly would not be invisible. -
16.
Predator 2: When the Predator regains consciousness at the slaughter house resuming his chase after Hannigan, he sees Hannigan in infrared scope. That's impossible as the Predator didn't put his mask back on. -
17.
Mission Impossible: In the computer room scene, when the man enters the room with Ethan suspended above him, you can clearly see the room reflected off the floor, as well as the man who enters the room; The man was looking at the floor when he entered the room and should have noticed Ethan. -
18.
Executive Decision: All through the movie Grant (Kurt Russell) is wearing glasses that aren't just for reading. They get knocked off towards the end of the movie yet he is still able to see clearly with no signs of struggle. He is even able to fly the plane to a landing with no vision problems. Could Grant be a hipster?
