In 2008, the Valley Stream, NY Wal-Mart was having a Black Friday sale on some random crap nobody really needs. As shoppers began to stampede, employees formed a human chain to preserve some semblance of order. Shoppers were having none of that and tore that mother down. Unfortunately, this included knocking over 34 year old employee Jdimytai Damour and trampling him to death. EMTs tried to revive him, but he died on scene. Wal-Mart closed the store... until 1PM when they opened right back up. -

The Wal-Mart in Kinston, NC hired an off duty cop to provide security. He must have sucked at his job, because he mistook a line of people waiting on discounted cell phones as a possible riot. That's when -- with all his training -- he deployed pepper spray on a crowd of 20 people, including women and children. The actual police showed up and arrested the crap out of him. -

Walter Vance was Black Friday shopping at the South Charleston, WV Target in 2011 when he had a heart attack and died in the electronics section. Reportedly, Vance cried for help and tried flagging people down. He was completely ignored and he dropped to his death. After he died, shoppers simply stepped over his body and continued shopping. He wasn't discovered till later in the day. -

In 2008, an argument between shoppers in a Toys R Us resulted in both groups opening fire on one another. Shots rang out, people ran, and in the end two people were dead. Nobody knows what the argument was over, or who shot whom. Just that it happened and two people spent the holidays in the morgue. -

In 2011, the Wal-Mart in Porter Ranch had an XBox special and this woman was getting her an XBox. There was a crowd -- predictably -- and rather than pushing and shoving like normal people, she whipped out a canister of pepper spray and just went to town. 10 people were treated for injuries. Best part? She got away with it... and got an XBox. -

You remember Jdimytai Damour from five slides ago? He was trampled to death at the Wal-Mart in Valley Stream, NY? As it turns out, he wasn't the only victim that day. The same crowd also trampled a woman who was eight months pregnant. Because of the injuries, she miscarried. Again, remember, the Wal-Mart reopened later that day! -

Arvind Tandel was driving home to San Bruno, CA in 2011 after literally shopping all night for Black Friday. He hadn't been to sleep yet, and loaded his Lexus SUV with four people in a seat made for three. This was because they had bought so much stuff, they had to fold down the third row seat to make room for it all. The exhausted driver fell asleep, flipped the SUV, and killed two of his daughters. -

Javier Covarrubias got into an argument with another Black Friday shopper in 2013 at a Westfield mall in Carlsbad, CA. The argument must have been important, because Javier stabbed the guy in the belly, and ran off to hide at the movie theater. They caught him and the victim lived. -

In 2013, bargain crazed maniacs were so desperate to get to the specials at a New Boston, OH Wal-Mart that they trampled an 11 year old girl. This wasn't one or two toolbags knocking her over... it was the whole crowd. The girl was taken away by ambulance and treated at the local hospital. As she was released, the EMTs responded to the exact same Wal-Mart for a report of injuries to an elderly lady. Yes, after an 11 year old was nearly killed... Wal-Mart stayed open. -

Ronnie Sharp and Christopher Jackson of Tazewell County, VA really wanted the same parking spot at a Claypool Hill, VA Wal-Mart so they could line up for Black Friday. Neither of them wanted to back off because bargains were waiting. Jackson got pissed off enough to level a firearm at Sharp. Sharp countered with a knife (irony?) and sliced Jackson's arm open. It's the first time in history anyone has ever been successful in bringing a knife to a gunfight. (Reminder: this was over a parking spot)
