1 in 5 Americans Now Get Their News from TikTok
Better than getting your news from Facebook, I guess.

Every generation has their own method of media consumption. For our grandparents, it was the radio. For our parents, it was TV. For this generation? Uh, I don’t know, podcasts? That doesn’t sound very good, does it?
However, young people are getting their news primarily through TikTok. Sorry, did I say young people? I meant basically everyone.
According to a recent Pew poll, 43 percent of people ages 18 to 29 regularly get news from TikTok. That’s not very surprising.
What *is* surprising is the growing number of older people who get their news from TikTok: 35 percent of people ages 30 to 49, 10 percent of people ages 50 to 64 and even 3 percent of people who are over the age of 65.
In total, this means that 1 in 5 Americans are regularly getting their news from TikTok. Is that why the government’s trying so hard to control it? I don’t know, I get my news from the other people at the watercooler, and they’re also idiots!
