The average cost of a wedding these days is an unbelievable $33,000, according to Zola. But at a time when everything seems to be getting more expensive by the minute, how are you supposed to afford such an occasion? When I’m debating whether it’s smart to buy eggs — you expect me to drop several grand so that a cousin I’ve spoken to twice in my life can drink through the open bar? No way!

One man in France wanted to have a nice wedding but couldn’t afford it. So he decided to sell advertising space on himself, promoting the idea through social media.

In total, he was able to sell ad space to 26 different companies, netting him a cool $10,000. He noted that much of that money had to go to the custom jacket containing the ads (he wanted it to look nice), but still, if your future wife doesn’t mind all your wedding photos being tainted by gambling ads, I don’t see an issue!
