Before beginning any job, it’s important to get a good night of sleep. This is doubly the case if you’re an air traffic control — and, I dare say, *triply* the case if you’re the only air traffic controller on an island upon which people are trying to land a plane.

Unfortunately for passengers on a recent flight from Paris to Corsica, one air traffic controller didn’t follow this same creed. And so, he dozed off mid-shift, leaving the plane full of people flying in circles for 20 minutes while they waited for someone to come and wake him up.

Thankfully, someone *did* wake the man up, and the plane was able to land safely. The pilot, for his part, said the passengers found the situation “funny.”

Good to know it’s not just *our* air traffic system that’s horribly broken!
