After TSA Ditches Shoe Removal, They Say They’re Getting Rid of Liquid Restrictions Next
Who else is celebrating by bringing a two-liter Faygo through security?

Earlier this month, the TSA announced that you would no longer need to take your shoes off while going through airport security. This announcement came after years of the TSA failing inspections and the shoe removal rule doing little more than annoying people.
Now, a similarly annoying rule is likely going to be ditched. Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, recently announced that, following the removal of the shoe rule, the next rule in her sights is the one about liquids.
“I will tell you — I mean the liquids — I’m questioning. So that may be the next big announcement is what size your liquids need to be,” Noem stated.
Presently, the rule is 3-1-1 — as in, liquids must be 3.4 ounces or less and stored in a one-quart, resealable plastic bag. However, if Noem is to be believed, the Trump administration plans on either getting rid of it entirely or, at the very least, loosening the rule.
Only time will tell if this means that we’ll be able to pop bottles of bubbly on the plane as God intended, or if this just means they’re upping the limit to four ounces.
