Australian Man Arrested for Faking Seizures to Get People to Sit on Him
He was known across Melbourne as “Fake Seizure Guy.”

If you see someone having a seizure, you’ll probably do everything you can to help them. You’ll call emergency services, get them some water — heck, if they need you to, you’d probably even sit on them, right?
Well, one guy in Australia figured this out and decided that it would be the best method to get people to do just that. As a result, he’s now allegedly spent years walking around Melbourne, going up to strangers, pretending to have a seizure and then asking them to sit on him.
Why does he do this? Well, as noted in a series of posts by journalist David Farrier, there are a few theories, ranging from some kind of “stimming” to him just being a bit of a freak.
Regardless of why he does it, he’s now been arrested for it and is facing assault charges.
To be clear, you shouldn’t sit on someone having a seizure — and if you really want someone to sit on you, you can probably just pay them to do it!
