Disney Will Reportedly No Longer Have Villains in Parks Year-Round
They’ll only appear around Halloween from now on.

Disney is supposed to be a magical place of wonder and merriment. It’s also supposed to be for children, but don’t tell that to your coworker who wears Mickey Mouse ears at any possible opportunity.
Given that, it’s a bit strange that they invite the evil guys to this world of magic and wonder. You stole Ariel’s voice, Ursula — what are you doing taking pictures with my horrible son?
Disney seems to have realized this (or enough kids have been scandalized by seeing an apparent super villain in the flesh). Consequently, reports say that Disney will be ditching live villain performers, except around the Halloween season.
While Disney hasn’t officially confirmed the rumors, internet users are already mourning the loss of the Evil Queen, who has become a favorite amongst park guests and, well, the gay community. Some have even gone so far as to (half-jokingly) say the removal of the character is homophobic given how much love the Evil Queen gets.
So, if you’re planning a trip to Disney to get a photo with an evil character, you’ve gotta either hurry up or grow up.
