Internet Users Are Convinced Halloween Decorations Will Summon Real Demons
Real demons. You know, those things that are fake.

As we head into October, people across the country are beginning to dig out their Halloween decorations and get their homes into the proper “spooky season” vibe.
However, some on the internet are convinced that this is a bad idea — not because that fake spiderweb stuff is way harder to clean up than you’d expect, but because hanging up decorations has the potential to summon real ghouls and goblins.
In a highly-discussed post, one user on X wrote, “The problem with evil Halloween decorations is that they are real, they summon real monsters, they bring forth real beings. It’s not a game. Festivities matter.”
Understandably, many people dunked on this person for being a smooth-brained moron with a worse understanding of reality than a medieval peasant. However, because this is the internet, there were many users who not only agreed with this assessment, but thought that it didn’t go far enough.
“When people decorate their homes with skulls, death and evil spirits — they are summoning death and demons,” reads a second post on the topic. “Halloween trivializes evil and opens children especially to demonic influence because it normalizes the occult and makes a joke out of darkness,” added another.
Naturally, because none of that stuff is real, this isn’t a problem you should actually worry about. So, go and decorate your Halloween home to your heart’s content — I promise the Lord will forgive you for wearing a witch’s hat.
