Now he knows, I guess.

A man in India has been arrested after opening the emergency exit while a plane was getting set to take off. The man in question, Ajay Tiwari, was about to travel to Bengaluru when he took hold of the emergency exit’s handle and cracked the door open — luckily, catching the attention of a crew member who immediately informed the plane’s pilot.
When questioned, Tiwari said that the whole thing was one big mistake and misunderstanding. According to him, this was his first time on a flight, and he didn’t really know how an emergency exit worked. Consequently, he turned the door’s handle either to read additional information or just to see what it would do through trial-and-error.
Will that excuse hold up in court?
We don’t know yet, but for the time being, he’s been charged with “acts endangering life or personal safety of others.”
