Man Arrested for Stealing Hundreds of Lego Heads
Why just the heads?

Officers from the Santa Rosa Police Department recently arrested 39-year-old Richard Lopez for his alleged involvement in an underground Lego theft ring. Investigators say Lopez may have been involved in an operation that would steal Lego sets, then resell them for an inflated price.
This isn’t particularly surprising. Stealing things and flipping them is a classic part of the whole “theft” thing. However, what *did* surprise investigators is Lopez’s apparent fixation with Lego heads.
In his garage, investigators found “hundreds” of detached Lego heads. It’s unclear whether this was part of the resale crime, part of his desire to assemble certain mini-figures, or if Lopez was just a strange fella.
Regardless, he’s now under arrest. Who knows if we’ll ever find out what he planned to do with the heads.
