Have you ever bought one of those plastic bags of gummies, planning to only have a few, then find yourself having eaten an entire dinner consisting solely of sour gummy worms? It’s okay, you can tell us!

If you felt a little shame after doing that, you can’t imagine what this truck driver in the UK is feeling.

As reported by VICE, 33-year-old Nathan Rimington ordered a three-kilogram bag of cola-flavored gummies for around $22. He then ate all 6.6 pounds of gummies over the course of the next three days — and put himself in the hospital.

“The next day my stomach was in absolute agony,” he told the Manchester Evening News. “By Wednesday, I couldn’t even get out of bed. I was sweating; it was awful.”

The reason for his illness was a flare-up of diverticulitis, triggered by an overconsumption of gelatin. Thankfully, he fully recovered.

In case you needed another reason to not eat nearly 7 pounds of gummies, now you have one.
