Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Alaska in order to meet President Donald Trump. While he was there, he apparently gave a dude a motorcycle, and the man who got it has no idea why.

According to Mark Warren, he was riding his Ural motorcycle downtown when he was approached by two Russian journalists who began asking him questions about his bike. He happily answered, then went on his way.

Several days after the initial interaction, Warren says he got a call from a journalist saying that a blog post about him had gone viral. A few days later, he said he received another call informing him that Putin was gifting him a brand-new Ural motorcycle.

“I just felt, this is so random and so strange, that I felt apprehensive about this being actually really going to happen… This doesn’t just happen. I know no one from the Russian Embassy,” Warren explained.

Eventually, he was, in fact, given the bike, which led to further bafflement.

“There is no reason why they should have given me a bike. I haven’t done anything for them or to them, and I don’t know anybody,” Warren shared. “So yeah, it’s so absolutely astronomically random that it was hard for me to understand why this happens. Matter of fact, I still don’t know why.”

Enjoy your free bike, Mark — though maybe give that thing a cursory sweep for bugs just in case.
