Report Finds That Basically Every Part of the Epstein Investigation Was Screwed Up

In case that wasn’t already clear.

The story surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s demise has, since it was first reported, been filled with holes. As time has passed and more information has emerged, those holes have only widened — and as this administration keeps refusing to release additional files related to the case, all that’s left for us to do is speculate.

Until today, at least. CBS recently revealed photos from Epstein’s jail cell and revealed nearly every aspect of the investigation was botched. To summarize some of the screw-ups: evidence wasn’t marked, items were moved before photos were taken, the body was removed before the inspection, they didn’t take fingerprints or test for DNA, cameras weren’t recording (we already knew that, but still!), and perhaps most importantly, no one in the area was interviewed following the incident.

There’s also the issue that some of the evidence provided doesn’t really make sense. For example, there were several different photos of knotted strips of bedsheets, and there’s no indication of which, if any, were actually used during the incident.

“The FBI literally has all of the best tools. I mean, spared no expense. They have every tool you can imagine. And they used none of it as far as we can tell,” forensic analyst Nick Barreiro told 60 Minutes after reviewing the photos.

Again, maybe releasing those files will clear some things up. Wanna do that for us, Donny?
