Australia is home to a sculpture titled “Cast in Blue,” though locals affectionately call it “Blue Blob.” Up until recently, the sculpture was featureless. However, visitors to the sculpture last month noticed a strange new addition: a pair of googly eyes.

Now, the police have located the woman behind the crime, and they’re charging her with property damage. Over googly eyes? C’mon!

Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. The googly eyes were stuck on pretty well, which meant that their removal damaged the sculpture. Now, they’ve gotta fix the thing, which will likely come at a significant expense.

The accused has not yet entered a plea, though I suggest the classic “Your honor, I was just being silly.”
