Woman Says Someone Stole Her Driveway
I didn’t realize that could happen.

A woman was selling her house when she got a call from a prospective buyer. The house, the buyer said, was nice — but they were a little irked by the missing driveway.
Confused, the woman visited her for-sale house. Upon arriving, she discovered the driveway was no longer there. In short, someone had stolen it.
"I actually called the [police] non-emergency number,” homeowner Paige Batten told Local 3 News. “I said, ‘I don't even really know what I'm reporting.’ So I told her, and she was like, ‘What?’ Everybody just goes, ‘What?’”
Doing some further investigation, Batten learned from neighbors that a “truck with a trailer, a dump truck hauling a backhoe, and a king cab truck hauling a backhoe” had all been spotted at the house in previous days. She assumes that they were part of a crew to take the driveway, though she has no idea why.
For the time being, Batten is not suspecting foul play. She says that someone likely ordered their driveway demolished and the workers simply had the wrong address. If that is the case, she says, she hopes whoever made this mistake simply owns up to it. Oh yeah, and that they fix her driveway.
