While food influencer @barfly7777 may have not brought a bomb, knife, or box cutter onto his recent Delta flights, he still managed to commit an act of terrorism, cooking up a dish he dubbed the “Mile High Bathroom Garlic Shrimp & Mash” using a jerry-rigged battery and a stopped lavatory sink.

“Well, I got a terrible idea — it’s a terrible idea!!” Barfly began his video, which has since gone viral on TikTok and Twitter, in an all-too short-lived moment of lucidity. Despite noting that some of his in-flight cooking equipment most definitely “looks like a bomb,” he was undeterred in his mission to make the most disgusting airplane meal in the history of aviation, soldiering through check-in, security and ultimately boarding lines.

@barfly7777 With 2 6v batteries wired in series to an immersion beverage heater, one is able to get water scalding hot quickly. Raw shrimp will only need a few minutes. Adding instant mash to the shrimp water adds some extra flavor. Garlic butter makes everything go better. #terribleideawhattime #shrimp #garlicshrimp #mashedpotatoes #flying #bathroomchef #howtocookproperly #barfly7777 #innovation #privatechef #newidea #hack #Splice ♬ FUCK IT - xryce

Once the plane took off, Barfly was ready to strike, heading to the bathroom to drop not a deuce, but a ton of frozen shrimp, garlic and what appears to be instant potatoes into the lavatory sink, cooking them with some jerry-rigged battery contraption before plopping the finished mass into a comfort bag and carrying it back to his seat.

Barfly insisted that the finished dish was a “success,” offering a potato-resin-filled rock and roll sign after eating the beige meal using nothing but his bare hands, yet it appears pretty much everyone else begged to differ, heading to not only his comments but also to Twitter with one question — why?

“Put this man on the no-fly list,” demanded @DijahSB, one of several viewers insisting Barfly be banned from all forms of air travel.

“This is a crime (literally and figuratively),” added @taigooden while @offbeatorbit dubbed the video as “one of the worst things I’ve ever seen on the internet.”

But whether or not the meal was actually good (it probably was not), one thing is certain — we can only hope that Barfly held onto that air sickness bag after finishing his lunch.
